As I have been watching alot of movies lately, this blog has gradually turned into a movie review blog...sorry! I will be back to my normal photographic self soon. It hasn't left me....I've just been..distracted! Had so much free time to just kick it, and watch some hardcore films! Haha.
But for now...
It's 8:00am and I have yet to go to sleep. Just finished watching 'Some Kind of Wonderful' a film based in the 80s. I loved it. So good!
Shit, I would love to live back then.

I have watched so many movies since holidays started!
Unexpected all nighter tonight...it's 5:40 and I'm still awake, and considering making some breaky, going for a nap, and then starting my day...don't know how I'll cope without sleep however. I love sleep.
Anywho...I never tire of this movie. And boy do I feel like listening to Elton John now!

Who are we in this complicated world?
If we come to sleep
we are His drowsy ones.
and if we come to wake
we are in His hands.
if we come to weeping,
we are His cloud full of raindrops.
and if we come to laughing,
we are His lightning in that moment.
if we come to anger and battle,
it is the reflection of His wrath.
and if we come to peace and pardon,
it is the reflection of His love.

I have read and re-read the Kite Runner so many times, and never tire of the story.
It is by far my favourite book.
This is a poem that is read aloud by the main character in the film adaption (not included in the book), Amir, as he and his 'Baba' or father, flee to Pakistan during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
It sounds so much prettier in Farsi (Arabic).

Holidays ahoy.
Thank god. I am in desperate need of a study break...although I will be spending some time over the next three weeks looking into possible ideas for next semester's major project.
Had my presentation for this semester, and although I was freaakinnnng out, I think I went well!
Now, time to be inspired.
